Game Design BTS
What is Game Design? Come find out by implementing the final pieces of a playable video game project. In this workshop, you’ll get a look at the working parts of a game design pipeline through a series of challenges that require creative problem solving.
Participants will also be provided more information about the goals and structure of the degree program, and are invited to download and play the student projects below to get more insight into the program curriculum.
Steam Knight
Steam Knight is a throwback to a classic 2D action platformer, complete with a nostalgic pixel based art style. With your steam powered jet pack, soar through the air as you navigate ten levels each filled with progressively difficult challenges, enemies and obstacles. However, as every knight knows, never overheat your steam pack! The heat exhaust is very dangerous to everyone around you!

Bad Dog!
Canine life has never been more fun in this disaster filled action game. Playing as a rambunctious dog-- run, jump around and tear up your house to learn new abilities and gain strength Enjoy real physics systems which cause items to fly throughout the room in a hilarious scene of destruction. Make the most of your time however as you never know when your house could wind up being haunted! By shades!? Mystery and action are afoot in Bad Dog!

Juniper Theory
In this multiplayer single-screen game, you play as an engineer creating a distributed network to grow your company's reach and net worth. Competing against rival companies, adding new nodes will allow you to reach new parts of the country with your services. Watch out however! Expanding without the proper defenses could leave you vulnerable to DDoS attacks from your rivals rending you offline and your profits lost. Can your company take over the country's data infrastructure market?

Sprocket
Sprocket is the title character of this 3D action puzzler which challenges players to manipulate sprockets and gears in an industrial environment. By manipulating said gears in the environment, players can solve problems which will allow Sprocket to progress and escape from the lab he is trapped in. Find the right sized gears to fit together and operate machinery, while protecting yourself from guard robots that are trying to impede your progress.
