Game Design master’s students won two awards in SIEGE's 2022 Silv-E contest. Coalescence won Best Student Game (the second year in a row a Full Sail title won that prize) and Guardian won Best Art. SIEGE (also known as the Southern Interactive Entertainment and Game Expo) is the largest video game industry trade show in the South.

Working with a dentist, an award-winning virtual inspection mirror trainer was developed that trained that ability to use the reverse mirror image to find and correctly chart cavities.
The process of building and break-testing full sized concrete beams is an extensive process that civil engineering students would only be able to experience one beam type prior to graduation. A VR simulation was created using actual test data that allowed students to experience and inspect the testing process from a first-person perspective. One step closer to the dream of immersing students with multiple tests provided by a network of civil engineering colleges.
There was a need to provide a highly interactive training approach that could be deployed in local metropolitan areas to promote better observation and decision making under stress. A prototype was developed, and client tested with the decision to aggressively move forward with commercial deployment supported by simviz faculty and students.
A prototype AR driving trainer was developed using a personal motion base provided by Torch Simulation to address the problem of offloading a SAM missile from an aircraft. A process that requires coordination with signal men that is rarely trained. The student prototype video is currently being used by Torch to gain a military contract.
